photo 4 (2)This year (2020) will mark my fifth year of teaching Global Child Protection to graduate students at Boston College School of Social Work. I look forward to teaching the class each summer, particularly since I graduated from the same program a couple of years (okay, more than a decade) ago.

The course focuses on child protection in the situations of adversity, including settings of high poverty, displacement, and conflict (including the US). Particular attention is placed on considerations around culture and context – and the implications this must have on child protection and social work practice.
